One
of the things my customers appreciate the most about buying Beaded
Jewelry from Bronson Designs, is their ability to customize. Resizing
is the commonly requested customization, but we also have requests
for changing clasps and ear-wires.
Bracelets
The size of the human wrist varies greatly. Whenever I work with
customers I am never far from my tape measure. In my experience,
the most common reason for losing a bracelet is buying one that
is too big.
If you don't have a tape measure, you can download this ruler.pdf
file. Print it, cut out the ruler and you have an easy way measure
your wrist.
I normally recommend that a bracelet be 1/2 - 3/4 larger than
your wrist. One inch would be okay as well, if the clasp is a lobster
clasp. When bracelets with toggle claps are too big, they often
come undone.
Some of our bracelets are already adjustable. We do this by adding
chain (see Bracelet 810) or by using toggles with more than one
ring (see Bracelet 478.)
We can resize most bracelets. Please contact us to verify if resizing
is possible before placing your order.
Necklaces
The length of a necklace is dictated to some degree by its design.
Some are meant to be worn high upon the neck and others lower on
the chest.
Some (but not all) of our necklaces can be made to a custom size.
Please contact us to verify if resizing is possible before placing
your order.
We do not resize necklaces in our Limited Edition category. It may
be possible to lengthen a necklace by adding a chain extender, but
this will depend on how the piece is constructed. Please contact
us to verify if resizing is possible before placing your order.
Earrings and Ear Wires
We use two types of pierced ear wires: French hook and leverbacks.
We use either Sterling Silver or 14KGF ear wires. There is an up-charge
to switch from a French hook to a leverback. We also offer Niobium
hook style earwires for people with metal allergies. Visit our shop's
Custom category for prices.
Cost for Resizing
There may or may not be a cost. We will let you know when we respond
to your inquiry.
Change the Type of Clasp
There is usually a cost for changing the style of the clasp. We
will let you know when we respond to your question.
Thanks to www.vendian.org for putting printable rulers on the web.
